In 1795, Abra­ham Breguet in­vented the tour­bil­lon. It would only be much later, in 1920, that watch­maker Al­fred Hel­wig would cre­ate the fly­ing tour­bil­lon. The fly­ing ver­sion dis­tin­guishes the Tour­bil­lon Mes­si­dor (Ref. 5335): A tour­bil­lon cage mounted on sap­phire discs gives the tour­bil­lon an airy ar­chi­tec­ture that’s matched by the rest of the skele­tonised move­ment. The 40mm watch is shown here in plat­inum.
