Channel your inner secret agent with the fastest amphibious vehicle on the market.

Even grown-ups have secret-agent fantasies. Just ask billionaire investor and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who snagged the famously (and fictionally) amphibious Lotus Esprit used in the 1977 James Bond flick, The Spy Who Loved Me, at an auction last September.

Musk plans to turn the film’s submarine-sports car into a reality – but, while we await the arrival of that day, we think the Quadski makes a pretty solid alternative. Sure, the brainchild of American company Gibbs Sports Amphibians can’t go under water, but it is the first commercially available amphibious personal sports vehicle that reaches speeds of up to 72kmh on both land and water.

Pretty impressive, considering that no other personal amphibian on the market has so far exceeded 16kmh on water. Having taken it for a test spin, here’s what we think makes the Quadski – soon to be available in Singapore – such a great ride.
