SocialKitchen This 4,000 sq ft space is where people can gather and cook in a social setting. Fitted with culinary stations and Smeg professional appliances ranging from gas and induction hobs to wine chillers, the kitchen allows users to bring their own ingredients or order them via the Downtown Gallery app. The kicker? Help – including an inhouse chef and cleaning staff – is on hand if required.
BeautyBar OUE bills this as “Singapore’s first connected store”, and it’s where consumers can preview a rotating range of skincare and makeup, plus test looks on mirrored digital terminals. Here, consumers can select products, make payment, and have the machine dispense the items immediately.
Re:Store Designed to change the way people in the CBD order and consume food, this two-storey concept created in collaboration with Makansutra guru KF Seetoh boasts 120 “food lockers” and a communal dining area. Diners order from a menu of Malay, Peranakan, Filipino and heritage street fare on the Downtown Gallery app before picking it up from an assigned locker at a specified time. The seating area here is open to both Re:Store customers and the public.
TheGalleryExperience This “trend gallery” spanning the ground floor of the mall is a showcase of permanent and pop-up stores and projects. It covers a sprawling 11,000 sq ft, with tenants that currently include Kickstarter product store We The People, a handmade shoe brand, an artisanal jeweller and more.
Fitnessfun In line with the mall’s approach to a holistic living concept, more than a few fresh fitness concepts have made their debut at Downtown Gallery, including Hong Kong’s popular XYZ Cycle; Boulder Movement, the CBD’s first climbing gym; and The AutoBus, Singapore’s first cycling hub and cycling cafe in the CBD.
