Torque (Singapore) - - EDITORQUE -

If you’re reading this aboard an SIA airliner (Torque is one of the high-flying magazines available in the cabins of Singapore’s national carrier), thank you for your attention and have a pleasant flight.

But I got the idea for this short tale (which is arguably better than a tall tale) on board a Lufthansa Airbus, aloft between Changi and Frankfurt.

The long ’bus ride across six time zones was pleasant, the service was friendly and efficient, the in-flight entertainment was entertaining enough and the food was good, with surprisingly delicious “Chinese noodles”.

This issue has other likeable “LH flights” which originate from Germany – Volkswagen’s Golf (pg 64) and Tiguan (pg 42), Porsche’s Panamera 4 E-Hybrid (pg 58), Mercedes’ SLC200 and SL400 (pg 74).

There’s also a codeshare fight in the 2-litre business class lounge between the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Jaguar XE (pg 32). EDITOR DAVID TING
