NOT A CLOUD IN THE SKIES, GOT THE SUN IN MY EYES
Convertibles are conducive to feeling on top of the world, after they convert from “closed” to “open”. With the canopy down, the cabin’s occupants perk up. They will look on the bright side of life, made even brighter by sunlight in the daytime or moonlight at night. And they will enjoy the wonderfully windswept motoring which only a convertible can deliver. We drove close to the wind in a variety of alfresco cars for this issue. They offer different kinds of breeziness on wheels – a light breeze (Mazda’s ND MX-5 RF and NC MX-5 RC, pg 42); a gentle breeze (Volkswagen’s new and old Beetle Cabriolets, pg 48); a fresh breeze (DS 3 Cabrio and Fiat 500C, pg 52); and a strong breeze (MINI Cooper S Convertible and Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible, pg 34).
Let’s get breezy before the weather gets rainy.
