TANK UP & CHOW DOWN

Torque (Singapore) - - PLAY FARE -

Busy executives who still want to start their day right can check out Crackerjack’s new Grab and Go breakfast offerings (below). Customers can choose from Homemade Bagel (with cream cheese or kimchi cream cheese), Kale & Chicken Chimichurri wrap or Bircher Muesli, whose ingredients include oats, quinoa, coconut flakes and strawberries. Crackerjack is located along Tanjong Pagar Road. Harried executives in need of “medication” to treat their stressrelated maladies could head to Apothecary, a “hidden” bar behind the dining room at Oxwell & Co. The less adventurous can have drinks such as the Blood Orange Negroni (above), but those who want something more exotic can try cocktails like Fenicillin, which is a blend of Monkey Shoulder and Islay malt whiskeys, honeyed fennel, root ginger and citrus. Katsu lovers searching for a relatively affordable meal could consider Fry Pan Shokudo. As evidenced by its name, the eatery’s dishes are served on frying pans. Try its Wafu-Oroshi Chicken Karaage for $9 (right). This set meal, which includes salad, rice, soup and tofu, is sure to fill hungry bellies. Fry Pan Shokudo is located at Isetan Scotts Food Republic.
