Sleeping Beauty Afternoon Tea, London
For one week in October, The Dorchester in London brings to life the classic tale of
Sleeping Beauty, in a delightful collaboration of gastronomy and ballet with the English National Ballet School. If you’re in the city between 23 to 27 October, bring your little princess to the Sleeping Beauty Afternoon Tea at The Promenade, featuring confectionery, scones and savouries inspired by the fairy tale. Meanwhile, young dancers from the ballet school will entertain as key characters from
Sleeping Beauty (look out for the King, Queen, Three Good Fairies, the bad fairy Maleficent, Prince and Princess Aurora) pirouetting amid the tables.
Other treats include face painting, mini-tutus and crowns. A daily raffle will be drawn where the winning child will be treated to a personal shopping experience at French Sole, a British ballet flats designer who is also collaborating with the hotel. The tea is priced at £68 per adult including a glass of champagne and £39 for children aged five to 12.
The hotel is also rolling The Dorchester’s School Holidays accommodation package to coincide with the local half term school holidays. Available 16 to 26 October, the package (£740) includes accommodation for a family of four in two rooms, daily breakfast, a free movie for children, and a bottle of champagne for parents. dorchestercollection.com
