A DESSERT DATE
Sweeten up tea time with Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa’s latest dessert highlights, brightened with local pops of flavour
Treats For My Sweet
Latest Recipe restaurant has been celebrating some of Singapore’s loveliest homegrown flavours since August, including decadent desserts for the sweet-toothed. From his pastry kitchen, talented chef Edwin Leow plates out his quintessential Parisian pleaser—éclairs. Pick from classic flavours like vanilla and a zest of lemon, the popular Chocolate Gold, and locally-inspired favourites such as pandan kaya and raspberry coconut. Enjoy a sweet afternoon with a friend while tucking into this Chic Treat set, featuring two éclairs with fresh coffee or TWG tea at $10. Have room for more? Then bring home four of your favourite flavours for the same price (or $4 per piece) to be enjoyed later.
Sometimes good things come in petite parcels, and Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa’s Discovery High Tea Experience is exactly that. While staying true to the French’s refined standards, the chef has found ways to inject local twists into traditional European treats, resulting in unexpected sensory experiences on the palate. The brioche for instance has been updated with generous fillings of savoury-sweet chilli crab, which pairs perfectly with the other petits fours: macarons, chocolate gateau, rainbowhued cakes, and savoury tarts for a delightful tea service.
Latest Recipe restaurant’s signature and locally-inspired éclairs (available in the Chic Treat set) are also included (in petit version) in this Discovery High Tea Experience, paired with brewed coffee or a pot of TWG tea at $39 for two daily from 2pm to 5pm.
