In col­lab­o­ra­tion with multi-award-win­ning Aus­trian or­ganic dis­tiller Josef Farthofer, Leopold Spir­its—founded by Sin­ga­pore­based res­tau­ra­teur Klaus Leopold—re­leases the Leopold Or­ganic Sloe Gin. Bot­tled at 27 per cent ABV in Mostvier­tel Aus­tria, this sloe gin is 100 per cent hand­crafted us­ing a com­bi­na­tion of wheat gin and or­ganic sloes that have been mac­er­ated for six months. To de­velop its al­co­hol con­tent, the gin is then aged for up to a year and fi­nally, re­fined with beet su­gar from Farthofer’s farm in Aus­tria. The re­sult­ing sloe gin has a bal­anced sweet and tangy flavour with a soft fin­ish, and best en­joyed on the rocks or in a gin and tonic. $88 for 500ml, leopold.sg
