The newly re­leased 2017 vin­tage from Cloudy Bay re­minds us once again why it is the name syn­ony­mous with New Zealand Sau­vi­gnon Blanc. Fresh and racy on the palate, it is per­fumed with white stone fruit and backed by a lovely lin­ger­ing min­er­al­ity. In short, this is an el­e­gant wine that takes you from a leisurely lounge in the sun to the din­ner ta­ble.

Ac­cord­ing to Tim Heath, se­nior wine­maker of Cloudy Bay, “The pro­duc­tion of the 2017 Sau­vi­gnon Blanc is lower to meet our qual­ity and stylis­tic stan­dards. We have fo­cused on qual­ity over quan­tity.” In­deed, the qual­ity shows in every sip.
