Fresh Asian noo­dles don’t come any health­ier than home­grown her­itage brand Kang Kang’s whole­grain fresh noo­dles. Launched re­cently, the sub­tly flecked noo­dles come in three va­ri­eties: bee tai mak, Hokkien noo­dles and kway teow. Smooth with a springy bite, they are un­like other whole­grain noo­dles or pas­tas which can be coarsely tex­tured. Pas­teurised us­ing the com­pany’s pro­pri­etary tech­nol­ogy, the noo­dles re­main fresh for 30 days at room tem­per­a­ture. They are also preser­va­tives- and ad­di­tives-free, mak­ing them a healthy choice. As no wash­ing or blanch­ing is re­quired be­fore cook­ing, they are per­fectly con­ve­nient too. $2.45 for each 450g pack, avail­able at ma­jor su­per­mar­kets
