Twin­ings brand am­bas­sadors Charles Arthur Smith and Theerasak Phang­muangdee con­ducted a mas­ter­class in Au­gust at Bo­da­cious Bar & Bistro for a small group of F&B pro­fes­sion­als. At the ses­sion, they learnt how Thomas Twin­ing started Twin­ings in 1706, how the com­pany sources its teas from plan­ta­tions around the world, and how Twin­ings cre­ates over 600 blends of teas backed by the skill of nine mas­ter blenders.

A high­light was a tast­ing of Twin­ings teas, in both loose-leaf form and teabag. It in­cluded in­fu­sions such as Golden Tipped English Break­fast com­pris­ing a blend of premium As­sam loose teas, and Bud­ding Meadow Camomile. Lastly, par­tic­i­pants sam­pled tea-in­fused mock­tails and cock­tails, such as gin in­fused with Lon­don Strand Earl Grey—a twist on the orig­i­nal Earl Grey made up of black tea scented with berg­amot and lemon peel.
