TEA WITH TWININGS
Twinings brand ambassadors Charles Arthur Smith and Theerasak Phangmuangdee conducted a masterclass in August at Bodacious Bar & Bistro for a small group of F&B professionals. At the session, they learnt how Thomas Twining started Twinings in 1706, how the company sources its teas from plantations around the world, and how Twinings creates over 600 blends of teas backed by the skill of nine master blenders.
A highlight was a tasting of Twinings teas, in both loose-leaf form and teabag. It included infusions such as Golden Tipped English Breakfast comprising a blend of premium Assam loose teas, and Budding Meadow Camomile. Lastly, participants sampled tea-infused mocktails and cocktails, such as gin infused with London Strand Earl Grey—a twist on the original Earl Grey made up of black tea scented with bergamot and lemon peel.
