Leopold Aus­trian Wine Week

From 13 to 19 Novem­ber, the sec­ond edi­tion of Aus­trian Wine Week (AWW) shines a spot­light on six wine­mak­ers and one dis­tiller in a week of in­dul­gent wine ac­tiv­i­ties. They in­clude events from wine pair­ing din­ners at var­i­ous lo­ca­tions to sail­ing on a yacht.

Head down to venues like Chef’s Ta­ble by Chef Stephan where a five-course wine pair­ing din­ner awaits; and Level33 for a big bot­tle party—fea­tur­ing bot­tles rang­ing from six to 18 litres—com­plete with free-flow wine and food, and ac­com­pa­nied by live mu­sic. AWW also fea­tures a five-hour cruise on a yacht that brings guests from Sentosa to Lazarus Is­land, com­plete with a wine re­cep­tion and fin­ger food served on­board.

Winer­ies in the spot­light in­clude Win­ery Za­hel, a sus­tain­able win­ery with vine­yards in every one of Vi­enna’s wine grow­ing dis­tricts; and Destil­lerie Farthofer, the first dis­tillery in Aus­tria to con­vert en­tirely to or­ganic pro­cesses and prac­tices.
