SURF & TURF
Can’t decide if you prefer meat or seafood? Enjoy the best of both at The Westin Singapore with its latest guest chef promotion at Seasonal Tastes
From now till 30 September, diners can indulge in a decadent surf and turf feast ($98 per adult; $49 per child) at the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Seasonal Tastes.
Guest chef Joshua Marshall, the executive chef of W Taipei, will be whipping up scrumptious dishes with seafood and red meat, inspired by flavours from his hometown in southern California and his second home, Taipei. Some highlights from the spread include the mini Boston lobster in brioche, baby back pork ribs marinated in brown sugar and Jack Daniels, and chicken and waffles. Taiwanese food lovers, meanwhile, can look forward to classics such as oyster noodles, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and wok-fried beef tenderloin with Taiwanese barbecue sauce.
Alongside the surf and turf dishes, diners can also continue to enjoy the luscious spread that Seasonal Tastes is known for—fresh seafood, crustaceans and salmon sashimi, and the ‘live’ carving station with a hearty selection of roasts and prime cuts.
The hotel’s gastrobar, Cook & Brew, will also be offering a Surf + Turf special during the month of July. Priced at $140, the seafood and meat platter comprises a slab of pepper-crusted USDA grain-fed New York sirloin served with lobsters-cented hollandaise, a grilled king oyster mushroom salad and fried Nova Scotia lobster mac and cheese, and is perfect for sharing among two persons.
