In 2013, he picked up the Food Writer of the Year award at the World Gourmet Se­ries Awards of Ex­cel­lence. Pre­vi­ously the ed­i­tor of this very mag­a­zine, he is now a free­lance jour­nal­ist and trav­els to Ja­pan yearly to sat­isfy his love for Ja­panese food and cul­ture.
