ED­WIN SOON is a wine writer, ed­u­ca­tor, a qual­i­fied oe­nol­o­gist and the au­thor of Pair­ing and Wine with Asian Food sev­eral other books. He wrote his first ar­ti­cles on wine in 2002—most of which were pub­lished by Wine & Dine. To­day, he re­turns to the mag­a­zine as con­tribut­ing wine ed­i­tor. Out­side of the wine in­dus­try, Ed­win is also a sen­sory eval­u­a­tion con­sul­tant.

MIA CHENYZE mainly works the food and life­style beat as a free­lance jour­nal­ist, and con­trib­utes to var­i­ous lo­cal and re­gional mag­a­zines and web­sites. She started her ca­reer re­view­ing restau­rants, test­ing kitchen ap­pli­ances, and bug­ging chefs for recipes and taken-for-granted cook­ing de­tails when she was at the now-de­funct mag­a­zine. Sim­ply Her She’s eas­ily per­suaded when it comes to eat­ing and drink­ing, and she’s al­ways plan­ning her next meal.

CALVIN TAN is a vet­eran lens­man with over 15 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence. He spe­cialises in food pho­tog­ra­phy and has shot for nu­mer­ous F&B big­wigs and restau­rants in Sin­ga­pore and the re­gion. Apart from pho­tog­ra­phy, his pas­sion is cy­cling and his bike du jour is a cus­tom-made Serotta. For this is­sue, he as­sisted with the styling and shoot­ing of the mag­a­zine cover.

SIM EE WAUN has been a food and travel jour­nal­ist for over 25 years. She started her food writ­ing ca­reer in mag­a­zine Wine & Dine and even­tu­ally be­came the mag­a­zine’s ed­i­tor in the early 1990s. Since then, she has helmed other ti­tles and has also edited cook­books in­clud­ing the clas­sic se­ries, Best of Sin­ga­pore’s by Mrs Leong Recipes Yee Soo. She re­cently co-au­thored The Lit­tle Sin­ga­pore Book, a chil­dren’s book on Sin­ga­pore’s his­tory, and now jug­gles her time be­tween the two gen­res.

LIN WEIWEN has 10 years of ex­pe­ri­ence on the food and wine beat, He has built an en­rich­ing ca­reer that in­cludes re­view­ing the lat­est restau­rants, pick­ing the brains of Miche­lin-starred chefs and top wine­mak­ers, and ex­plor­ing high al­ti­tude winer­ies in Ar­gentina. In 2013, he picked up the Food Writer of the Year award at the World Gourmet Se­ries Awards of Ex­cel­lence. Pre­vi­ously the ed­i­tor of this very mag­a­zine, he is now a free­lance jour­nal­ist and trav­els to Ja­pan yearly to sat­isfy his love for Ja­pa­nese food and cul­ture.
