ZENITH EL PRIMERO

World of Watches (Singapore) - - Reports -

Zenith earns a spot in the watchmaking hall of fame for the El Primero, which it claims is the first – and most accurate – automatic chronograph in history. It’s been 51 years since its debut and the calibre now comes in 23 iterations, some of them paired with other, more elaborate, complications like tourbillons and minute repeaters. Its straightforward design hasn’t varied much over the years, though modern El Primeros sometimes sport coloured sub-dials or openings that reveal parts of the movement. ($11,900)
