Drive De Cartier
Cartier’s newest men’s watch is undeniably recognisable as a Cartier, from the patterning of the guilloche dial to the blue sapphire winding crown. Then there are the distinct design elements, such as the cushion-shaped case, the domed crystal, the 6 o’clock counter and textured-satin finish, that ultimately distinguish Drive de Cartier from its predecessors. Unveiled for the first time at SIHH 2016 in Geneva, each design within the collection emphasises a different mechanic in watchmaking. Its case, in pink gold or steel, is fitted with a black, grey or white guilloche dial. The transparent case-back reveals the Manufacture movement 1904 MC, available in two versions. The Drive de Cartier watch is also available in a Fine Watchmaking edition, with a flying tourbillon 9452 MC, certified “Poincon de Geneve”.
