South African ath­lete Wayde van Niek­erk has had an ex­cep­tional year. At the start of the year, he com­peted in the 100m dash at Bloem­fontein with a time of 9.98 sec­onds. This makes him the first sprinter to hold a per­sonal best un­der 10 sec­onds in the 100m, 20 sec­onds in the 200m and 44 sec­onds in the 400m. In June, he set a new record for the African con­ti­nent and the world’s third-best time in the 300m dash. He also be­came the African cham­pion in the 4x100m re­lay with a time of 38.84 sec­onds. On Aug 14, he crossed the fin­ish line in 43.03 sec­onds in the 400m sprint, break­ing the Michael John­son's 1999 world record. Only 24 years old, the track star has just be­gun mak­ing his­tory and has cho­sen to wear an RM 27-02 for its com­fort, tech­ni­cal so­phis­ti­ca­tion and dy­namic lines.
