A key high­light is the new Mini Baked Salted Egg Yolk Cus­tard With Macadamia Bits moon­cake. It fea­tures a vel­vety soft salted yolk cus­tard cen­tre with crunchy macadamia pieces for a tex­tured con­trast. This moon­cake is best served chilled.

Par­adise Group’s snowskin moon­cakes also come in new flavours this year: Jas­mine Flower With Cham­pagne White Choco­late Cen­tre boasts re­fresh­ing notes of jas­mine flower, while Yuzu With Ly­chee Mar­tini White Choco­late Cen­tre gives the sweet treat a tangy twist. 另一款花朵造型的“海棠花语”麻糬冰皮,灵感取自嫦娥及花神玉女,精致的造型让人不禁多欣赏几眼。麻糬冰皮弹牙爽口,有两种不同口味,松软香滑的“相思豆”(红豆)加上香芋,以及酥脆甘甜的“长生果”(花生)加黑芝麻。

The fruit-flavoured Sweet Hearts Mochi Snowskin Moon­cake, for ex­am­ple, is filled with smooth mung bean paste blended with ly­chee, cran­berry, grape or mango. Shred­ded co­conut is sprin­kled on the heart-shaped pas­try, which makes for a pretty gift.

An­other new of­fer­ing is the Pe­tals Mochi Snowskin Moon­cake, which is in­spired by the tales of Chang’e and the Flower God­dess. The mochi snowskin with a chewy tex­ture comes in two flavours: the soft and smooth red bean and yam, and the crunchy and fra­grant peanut and black sesame.

The Matcha Oo­long and the Lava Cus­tard moon­cakes also make their de­but this year. The for­mer mar­ries the del­i­cate aroma of matcha with the rich depth of oo­long tea, while the lat­ter oozes salted egg yolk cus­tard. www.tun­glok.com 乌节酒店华厅餐馆——热带风情 Trop­i­cal Sen­sa­tion At Hua Ting Restau­rant, Or­chard Ho­tel 绿豆菠萝蜜,是主厨钟立辉今年的创意之作,带有蜂蜜般的甜味,在绿豆如丝的馅料中,又可嚼到水果粒,让人吃出热带风情。

冰皮月饼系列中,皆是独具特色的口味。彩云蛋黄,是日本抹茶口味,白莲蓉的咸蛋黄是亮点。另一创意佳作是低糖迷你陈年花雕蓝莓,前所未闻的组合,紫色冰皮内带有甜甜酸酸的味道,还有30年陈年花雕酒。所含糖分较少,适合主张健康生活的人士。
