BEST FOR Anything from casual get-togethers to romantic dinners – a true all-rounder. FOOD The cuisine is traditiona­l Italian and made with only the freshest ingredient­s. Daily specials include tender pasta pockets of ravioli stuffed with roasted butternut or freshly picked spinach and smooth ricotta with a hint of nutmeg. Specials include crispy squid heads with aïoli and fluffy potato gnocchi. The chef recommends the seafood risotto but they’re all fabulous. Pizzas are thin-based and wood-fired: the pizza Parma is piled high with peppery crisp rocket, thin slices of Parma ham and drizzled with truffle oil. All pastries, cakes and desserts are a delight. DRINKS The wine list is fabulous, with a variety of excellent local and internatio­nal flagship wines. SERVICE The waitrons are attentive and fun. The bar is exceptiona­l, with a brilliant crew of barmen. AMBIENCE The décor has a natural theme but with a funky twist. Amazing views add to the appeal. (JP)
