DILI: East Ti­mor will hold a pres­i­den­tial elec­tion on March 20, an of­fi­cial says, and No­bel Peace lau­re­ate Jose Ramos-Horta may try to make a come­back as head of state. It will be the third pres­i­den­tial vote in the na­tion since it won in­de­pen­dence in 2002 fol­low­ing a bru­tal, 24-year oc­cu­pa­tion by neigh­bour­ing In­done­sia. Ramos-Horta was a ma­jor fig­ure in the coun­try’s pol­i­tics for a decade. – AFP MO­GADISHU: Al-Qaeda linked Is­lamic ex­trem­ists in So­ma­lia have re­leased a video show­ing the ex­e­cu­tion of a Ugan­dan sol­dier cap­tured in Septem­ber 2015.
