The group claimed in their court ap­pli­ca­tion that Jo­hansen’s man­date had ex­pired and they de­manded that the court pre­vent her from run­ning the or­gan­i­sa­tion, even though Fifa had ex­tended her man­date un­til they send a task force to in­ves­ti­gate the sit­u­a­tion on the ground.

As the tem­po­rary in­junc­tion vi­o­lated a road map agreed upon and signed by the same stake­hold­ers, the SLFA as well as Fifa, the world con­trol­ling body is­sued a veiled threat that the coun­try could be sus­pended from all foot­ball ac­tiv­i­ties.
