India Instyle Shopping Festival to woo the senses
THE India Instyle Shopping Festival is once again set to woo lovers of all things Eastern, offering a kaleidoscope of colours, cultures, goods and flavours.
The festival takes place at the Sahara Kingsmead Stadium from tomorrow to April 16, offering an extravaganza of authentic Indian lifestyle, fashion, culture and cuisine as local and international exhibitors display their wares and delight your senses.
It is a lifestyle, food and cultural experience, where exhibitors boast the very best in international Indian clothing, costume jewellery, silk carpets, homeware and more.
From intricately detailed and exquisite saris, perfectly cut and styled Punjabi suits to the dream bridal gown, there’s something for everyone.
Walk the lanes of India, taking in the sights and sounds of true Indian fashions and accessories.
Patrons can enjoy the IPL cricket live on a big screen, while the kids enjoy the free rides available.
Entertainment includes live performances from local Durban artist Keeran Eshwarlall, Joburgbased Ryan the Illusionist and all the way from Rajasthan, India, the worldacclaimed Harish the Magician and folk dancer Isu, flash entertainers and many more.
And of course there is the traditional Indian cuisine, tantalising and flavourful foods and treats.
The festival is open to the public from 11am to 9pm daily and entry costs just R10.
