What was your memorable moment on your special day? Having my close friends with me as my bridesmaids – they stay in the UK so it was special friendship catching up time. Seeing my dad all dressed up was amazing and giving my speech at the Reception . What advice do you have for other brides getting married? Personalise your wedding. The more of you and your partner put into the décor and the flow of the day makes it feel special and not “just another wedding”. Do necessary and not extravagant – these extras don’t even get noticed on the day. Have a wedding for you and your close guests – don’t have a wedding to “show off” or be the best wedding of the century. Have someone who you can rely on and trust who is not part of the wedding party to be there on the day to help with the final setup touches. Make the wedding FUN – I had a popcorn and chocolate fountain for dessert – it was a hit – it creates atmosphere and helps the guests engage if they do not know eachother.
