The con­struc­tion of Quay­side is ex­pected to start early next year, with com­ple­tion and trans­fers sched­uled for mid 2013. Big Ben, the con­trac­tors on Ra­bie’s Water­stone de­vel­op­ment, which was voted top res­i­den­tial de­vel­op­ment in SA this year by the South African Prop­erty Own­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, have been ap­pointed to con­struct Quay­side.

Quay­side will form part of a larger de­vel­op­ment that con­sists of three independent er­ven — Quays — that will pro­vide 3 500m² of low-rise stu­dio of­fices set around court­yards, and Quay North, a smaller res­i­den­tial com­plex of about 28 apart­ments.

Two show houses are cur­rently un­der con­struc­tion and will be avail­able for view­ing from early next year, while a model of the de­vel­op­ment will be on show at Ra­bie’s on­site sales cen­tre from early Novem­ber.
