Broader scope for Fillon probe
PARIS: The investigation by France’s National Financial Office into François Fillon, a right-wing candidate for the French presidential election, and his wife Penelope Fillon, has been widened to include “aggravated fraud, forgery and the use of forgeries”, the French press reported.
Investigators wanted to determine whether the Fillon couple have established false documents to justify the wages paid to Penelope Fillon.
