Parties register for elections

THE NATIONAL Electoral Council has begun registering parties to participate in regional elections for governors and to elect members of the legislative councils in the country’s 23 states scheduled for December.

Opposition parties Democratic Action, Progressive Advance, A New Time, First Justice and Popular Will, have announced their participation in the elections, leaving those factions of the opposition boycotting the poll in the lurch.
