KFC ‘racist attackers’ remanded
FOUR of the five Pretoria men accused of assaulting a couple in an alleged racist attack at a KFC have been remanded in custody by the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court.
Yesterday magistrate Motlhoki Rapulana remanded Stephen Nel, Joshua Scholtz, Dicky Junior van Rooyen and Marius Harding until October 18. They face charges of attempted murder, among others.
Harding had previously abandoned his bail application and the fifth accused, Orckert Muller, had been granted R5 000 bail. Muller will return to court next month.
Yesterday the prosecution requested the postponement, citing outstanding statements from certain witnesses and a ballistic report. – ANA
