BLSA gets new head of pol­icy

BUSI­NESS Lead­er­ship South Africa (BLSA) has ap­pointed Te­bele Makhetha as its di­rec­tor for pol­icy and leg­is­la­tion.

She will be re­spon­si­ble for en­sur­ing com­pli­ance with rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion and reg­u­la­tions; pol­icy de­vel­op­ment; en­gage­ment with key part­ners; and help­ing shape BLSA’s in­put in the de­vel­op­ment of im­por­tant leg­is­la­tion.

BLSA chief ex­ec­u­tive Bo­nang Mo­hale said: “Miss Makhetha is here to keep us in line and sharpen our in­put into pol­icy and leg­is­la­tion.”

Makhetha holds a Mas­ter’s de­gree in com­mer­cial law and an LLB from Wits Univer­sity.

She also holds a cer­tifi­cate in prospecting and min­ing law and was ad­mit­ted as an at­tor­ney in 2010.

Makhetha said she was “truly hon­oured” to be join­ing BLSA at this time in its jour­ney.
