Pass on overseas airlines gift bags goodies

AFTER coming home from an extended trip, my luggage was full of the gifts some overseas airlines still generously give out.

These gift bags contain wet wipes, eye masks, lip balm, and earphones to listen to music or movies during interminable flights.

I counted seven pairs of earphones in my luggage. As I have my own pair of headphones I had been wanting for ages, bought on my last trip, I thought of passing the others on.

It got me thinking, if I have seven pairs of these, surely there must be thousands of these lying around in homes across Cape Town?

If you would like to donate earphones, please drop them off with our complex’s security guards day or night in the box marked with my name.

They will then be handed over to ward councillors with whom I am in contact for areas such as Langa and Manenberg, to give to youngsters.
