She told the union members she had full sympathy with their demands, but said that the provincial government had limited powers over the police.

Police spokespers­on, Captain Andre Beetge, said during the early hours of yesterday Kinkelbos police arrested the suspects for the possession of suspected stolen stock.

Beetge said the police pulled over a blue Isuzu bakkie carrying carcasses of two cows. The suspects are expected to appear in the Alexandria Magistrate’s Court today. – African News Agency (ANA)
