3 killed, 7 injured in crash

Three died and seven others were injured in a horrific car crash on the N4 at Schoemanspoort, about 30km outside Mbombela.

Reports indicated that an Avanza was travelling down the hill in the rain when it spun around, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

A BMW X5 travelling up the hill reportedly collided into its side.

The impact on the Avanza was so massive that the back seat with three women was ripped out and ejected from the vehicle.

After Netcare 911 medics examined the injured it was found that the three were still trapped in the Avanza.
