Simon & Schuster

Peter Harper is on the run, from himself. The acclaimed musician and composer has been through a messy divorce and seeks the quiet of the outskirts of a small Irish village to recover his equilibrium. It’s a nice enough house and he settles in by making friends with a retired American couple named Leo and Marie Kogan. He also slots into village live and forms a relationship of sorts with a young woman who runs the local shop and hostel, Jude. Then he gets hit by lightning and strange things begin to happen to him. Dreams that seem to be too real to be dreams. Dreams of horror and blood. Peter is convinced that something real is about to happen. Things come to a head when his children arrive from Holland.
