CHARNELLE AC­CUSED IN COURT

NEARLY a year af­ter her death, 10-year-old Charnelle McCrawl’s ac­cused will make his sec­ond ap­pear­ance in the Western Cape High Court to­day.

Carlo de Kock is ac­cused of mur­der­ing and rap­ing his niece Charnelle, who went miss­ing on Oc­to­ber 20 last year.

The case was post­poned to to­day for out­stand­ing re­ports and fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Charnelle’s body was found at a wet­lands in Ma­nen­berg a day af­ter be­ing re­ported miss­ing. She was wrapped in a plas­tic bag and a cur­tain.

A foren­sics re­port showed she suf­fered mul­ti­ple blunt-force in­juries to her head, neck and gen­i­tal ar­eas. |
