THE RUGGED...

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler smoothens the previous car’s more upright nose, revises the glasshouse and gives the interior a considerable overhaul that includes colour-coded trim and sat-nav.

The Wrangler’s traditional Achilles heel, its on-road manners, has been addressed with the addition of electric power steering, more sympathetically configured shocks and a raft of safety features.

…AND THE REFINED

Mercedes-benz has revealed pictures of the cabin of the next-generation G-class ahead of its official unveiling at this year’s North American International Auto Show. While the trio of diff-lock switches remains, the rest of the cabin has been redesigned from the ground-up with features that include a 12,3-inch LCD central display, uprated materials and greater occupant space than before.
