FOR THE RECORD

CityPress - - Business -

On Sunday, August 10, we reported on how Siyaya Free to Air TV, one of five new broadcasters waiting to be licensed by the Independent Communications Authority of SA, is preparing to launch its services.

In the article, Basetsana Kumalo, and the general manager for television channels at the SABC, Leonardo Manne, were identified as shareholders of Siyaya Free to Air TV.

This is wrong. They are directors of a separate company called Siyaya Television Consortium which produces content for other broadcasters – this company has nothing to do with Siyaya Free to Air TV.

City Press apologises for the error and any confusion it might have caused.
