Gender equality in SA has lost ground under Jacob Zuma

Under President Jacob Zuma, women’s progress in gender equity has been reversed, which is a victory for men. Gender representation has been reduced in Cabinet, Parliament, legislatures and councils.

We blame the ANC Women’s League and the ideology of our president for this.

A large number of comrades who supported Zuma in his bid not to be prosecuted are males.

So the president had to reward them. A 5050 gender composition was replaced by “What do you do to defend the president?” This is why we only have one female ANC premier.

This speaks of a greater move towards feudalism by the ANC under Zuma.
