Kicks, loops and backpacks
Adidas’ ZX Flux range, the versatile shoe that plays with textures and colours, will soon feature what is called a Ballistic Woven Pack.
The new addition uses ballistic nylon weave uppers with reflective detail, while keeping the welded branding and heel cage of previous Flux shoe versions. Adidas will introduce the shoe in black, dark blue and metallic grey. The ZX is a durable shoe that will take you through the toughest terrain. On sale from September at adidas.com/zxflux
LaSelva Studio has introduced a designer wall hook called Loop. This minimalist hook consists of a thin sheet of metal or plastic, a wooden body and two screws. When packed, Loop is about 15mm thick, making shipping and storing it a breeze.
The Loop can be used for hanging or storing, depending on the position you install it in. So gloves, coat hangers, spectacles, newspapers and cellphones can be kept tidy and out of the way. It will become available next month. Prices start at R265. Get your own designer Loop
Travelling long distances – by bus, car or plane – can be a pain in the neck, literally. And usually there’s just no space for a pillow (let alone a good one) in addition to all your luggage. But now there’s Air Pakk – a backpack and pillow in one.
The Air Pakk quickly and easily transforms from bag to pillow to mattress and back again, allowing you to comfortably relax wherever you are. The magic is in the selfinflating adjustable padding that also transforms the Air Pakk into a desk pillow, work station and sleeping bag. The cover of the backpack is removable.
It’ll set you back R1 000 when it becomes available
