THULI MADONSELA, THE CELEBRITY

Thabo Thwala Bothaville, Free State

Now that Thuli Madonsela has been named as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world, she wants to, in true celebrity style, keep her name trending in the media to maintain her popularity.

There was absolutely no need to write a letter to President Jacob Zuma, but because the Economic Freedom Fighters was taking away her limelight, she obviously felt obliged to leak it immediately.

Her statement that the letter was leaked by a top ANC leader is one of her smart ways to maintain her appearance in the media. Interestingly, she does not even want to mention the name of the ANC leader. All she wants is to paint the ANC in a bad light in her climb to stardom. Madonsela should know that the people who support her today only back her because she is attacking a black leader and the ANC. She is obviously building her career by using the ANC as a ladder. But if she had to become the president of the country, she would come under attack from the very people who support her today.
