Now this bur­geon­ing busi­ness, cre­ated by Karen Sch­nei­dLieber­man, just landed four nods at one of the UK’s big­gest food com­pe­ti­tions, the Great Taste Awards. Ooh La La cre­ates Turk­ish de­light with roasted pis­ta­chio nuts and real Bul­gar­ian rose-wa­ter. Each batch is cooked slowly for nearly four hours and no gela­tine, ar­ti­fi­cial flavours or ar­ti­fi­cial col­orants are added. But the pièce de ré­sis­tance is Ooh La La’s Cal­lisons – a unique blend of ground al­monds and can­died fruits.
