E.tv means business! In a bid to lure Afrikaans viewers, the free-to-air channel has announced its first Afrikaans programme, Musiek Musiek, which premieres next week.

Produced by Media World, and presented by Eagan Williamson and Tina Meissenheimer, the show seeks to “explore” the Afrikaans music scene through interviews, gossip and the latest news from the biggest Afrikaans artists.

The show features a behindthe-scenes segment looking at the art of making music videos, and a golden oldies segment that features classic Afrikaans music videos.

The show has been dubbed the next big thing by the free-to-air channel, and promises to be “an exciting and insightful ride through the talent-filled and passionate Afrikaans music scene”.

Meissenheimer makes her debut as a presenter. She will interact with studio guests and share their music knowledge and experience.

Williamson will dish out the dirt on celebrities in a bid to shed light on what’s hot in the Afrikaans music scene. This also includes the latest news, releases and live events featuring the cream of the crop of Afrikaans music.
