5 in court for Garissa raid
Five men were charged in a Kenyan court on Thursday with 162 counts of terrorism after the assault by militant Islamists on the Garissa University College in April. The charge sheet alleges four Kenyans and a Tanzanian conspired to commit “a terrorist act” at the college. They denied the charges. The five are the first people to be charged in connection with the massacre in which 148 people, mainly students, were killed.
