Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa told the National Union of Mineworkers’ congress this week that the mining industry was still very untransformed.

The former mining magnate and erstwhile Lonmin director moaned that “transformation has not moved” and “white men continue to dominate positions”.

He did, however, stop short of calling for concomitant action against such mine bosses to deal with this very problem – as he did almost three years ago when Lonmin workers were also behaving stubbornly.
