Down for the Guap Vuzu Amp (DStv channel 114) Thursday, 7pm What’s more important to you, friendship or R10 000?

Vuzu Amp’s new reality show is putting that question to the test with Down for the Guap. Contestants must apparently compete in outrageous and comical challenges for cash.

Hosted by Larry and TJ from dance group The Repertoires, the premise is: “In each episode, a victim is lured by a friend into a challenge to win the R10 000 cash prize. The nominated friend is then compensated for merely accepting the challenge. More money is then offered to tackle a challenge by themselves to win a further R3 000. Having bagged R5 000, the contestant is given the opportunity to double the money by teaming up with their friend to compete in the ultimate challenge against the two hosts.”

Let’s see if Vuzu can deliver on what it promises will be a show filled with “gut-wrenching laughter”. – Grethe Koen
