Your death is never pleasant for your loved ones, but the process becomes twice as complicated if you die in another country. Your loved ones require a death certificate to administer your estate. The nearest South African mission, embassy or consulate in the country in which you die has to be immediately informed of your death. Once your family has been issued with a death certificate, it must be presented to the South African mission, embassy or consulate.
