Whateverland

CityPress - - The Good Guide - Garreth.vanniekerk@citypress.co.za

Playgroup – the cutting-edge theatre collective that brought you last year’s underground smash hits How To Be Happy and Everything is Boring – returns to the Bindery Lab at the University of Cape Town’s Hiddingh Campus with its new spectacle, Whateverland.

Described as part performance, part design piece, part conversation, part experiment – Whateverland is an experimental journey to the “you” within, and stars a veritable who’s who of the Cape Town creative scene.

International design superstar Heath Nash is designing the sets and multiaward-winning fashion designer Richard de Jager is on costumes.

It’s all pulled together by the hypermodern writing, score and overall direction of Fleur du Cap nominee Francesco Nassimbeni.

The show runs from July 13 to 17 at 8pm, so make sure you book early – you don’t want to miss this one.
