The biggest literary event of this year has undoubtedly been Harper Lee’s release of her new book, which finally came out this week.

It’s been 55 years since the release of the celebrated To Kill a Mockingbird, considered one of the greatest novels of the 20th century.

“Go Set a Watchman is set during the mid-1950s and features many of the characters from To Kill a Mockingbird some 20 years later,” reads the book’s press release.

The novel has already set a HarperCollins record as the most preordered book in the publishing house’s history.
