Visit Buhle’s B&B

CityPress - - Trending -

B&B (DStv channel 161) Saturday, 6.30pm Nobuhle Beseni, played by actress and TV presenter Asanda Maku, owns a one-star bed and breakfast with her family on the wrong side of the tracks in Muldersdrift.

It might not be the fanciest place to get accommodation, but it attracts a host of eccentric and hilarious guests. This is the draw card of’s new sitcom, B&B.

“B&B is my first big acting job, and I’m excited for everyone to see what I’ve done with the Buhle Beseni character because we have very different personalities,” says Maku. “I do, however, relate to Buhle in terms of her wanting to be accepted by the B&B family and grow the business, as I also want to be accepted and grow as an actress in the industry.”

Maku is joined by a cast of popular South African actors, including Siphiwe Hlabangane, Thembaletu Ntuli and Marah Louw.

Let’s hope this show is not as cheesy as all our other local sitcoms seem to be. – Grethe Koen
