Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend has begged her father for an invitation to her funeral. The 22-year-old daughter of the late songstress Whitney Houston and her exhusband, Bobby Brown, died in a US hospice this week after six months in a coma.

Nick Gordon has reportedly sent an email to Brown, saying he “needs to say goodbye” to Bobbi Kristina.

US entertainment website TMZ reported that in the email, copied to Bobbi Kristina’s aunt and funeral organiser Pat Houston, Gordon wrote: “I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone. I need to say goodbye.

“I’m begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance. Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there.”

However, Gordon is being investigated by police in connection with the death of Bobbi Kristina, who was buried next to her mother yesterday.

British tabloid the Daily Mail reported that Gordon allegedly bought drugs for Bobbi Kristina on the day she was found face down in the bath at her home in January, and now prosecutors want to charge him with involuntary manslaughter.

Meanwhile, well-known singer and Houston’s aunt Dionne Warwick is reportedly furious that Pat Houston is allegedly planning a sweet 16-themed funeral for Bobbi Kristina, and threatened to boycott the event.

The family is also reportedly at odds over her $20 million (R253.73 million) inheritance.

“Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral because Pat Houston is taking over, even though she should be making decisions with Bobby [Brown] and not doing it on her own,” the Daily Mail reported.
